We are seeking an experienced Generator Maintenance Technician to join our team, providing essential power generation support at an overseas location in the Middle East.
Job Overview:
The Generator Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of power generation equipment at an OCONUS location in the Middle East. This role requires technical expertise in power generation systems and the ability to work independently in a high-demand environment. The technician will ensure all power generation equipment operates efficiently and reliably to support mission-critical operations.
Responsibilities:
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel and gas-powered generators.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with power generation equipment, including engines, control systems, fuel systems, and electrical components.
• Conduct inspections and tests on generators to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and operational standards.
• Follow established safety protocols and procedures while maintaining and repairing equipment.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and service reports.
• Respond to emergency generator repairs to minimize downtime and ensure continuous power supply.
• Work closely with other team members and management to coordinate maintenance schedules and resolve any operational issues.
• Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for reporting and record-keeping.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations and standards.
Requirements:
• Must be fluent in English, both verbal and written communication.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in generator maintenance and repair, including diesel and gas-powered generators.
• Strong knowledge of power generation systems, control systems, and electrical components.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair generators and power distribution systems.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.
• Must be physically fit and able to work in challenging environmental conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry loads up to 70 pounds, with equipment assistance as needed.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a high-demand setting.
• Previous military or defense contractor experience is highly desirable.
